Is the pool private?
Yes! The pool is exclusively for guests staying at Casa del Mar, so you can enjoy a swim whenever you like – whether that’s a refreshing dip during the day or a relaxing moment after exploring Madeira.
For guests who get chilly easyily: the pool is heatable (for an extra charge)
Can the pool be heated?
Yes, the pool can be heated for €22 per day.
If you would like the pool heated, please keep in mind that it takes around two days to reach the desired temperature. For this reason, pool heating has a minimum booking period of two days.
The temperature will become around 27 degree celsius.
How much sun does the terraces get?
The terraces and balconies usually enjoys sunshine until around 17:30 h, although this naturally varies depending on the time of year.
And there is another little highlight we definitely recommend: don’t miss the sunrises! They are absolutely beautiful and well worth getting up for.
Can we use the outdoor kitchen?
Absolutely!
The outdoor kitchen is there for you to enjoy during your stay. It is a wonderful way to make the most of Madeira’s mild climate, whether you’re preparing breakfast in the morning or enjoying a relaxed BBQ dinner together outside.
Is the cinema room included in the rental price?
Yes!
There is no extra charge for using the cinema room. It is part of the house and included in your stay. So if you fancy a cosy movie night after a day exploring Madeira, simply settle in and enjoy.
Can we use the fitness room during our stay?
Of course!
The fitness room is included in the rental price, so you are welcome to use it whenever you like during your stay. Whether you want to keep up your usual routine or just can not get enough after hiking one of the beautiful Levadas on Madeira, the choice is yours.
Are the pool table and table football included?
Yes – both are included in your stay.
The pool table and table football are part of the entertainment areas at Casa del Mar and can be enjoyed at no additional cost. Perfect for a little friendly competition after dinner!
Can we check in if our flight arrives late at night?
Usually, yes!
We know that flights to Madeira can arrive quite late – sometimes even at 1 or 2 in the morning. A late arrival is generally not a problem and can be arranged with us in advance.
Please check with us beforehand to ensure you are not stranding! Just let us know your arrival time and we’ll do our best to make your arrival as smooth as possible.
What happens if our flight is delayed?
Don’t worry – flight delays happen. Especially on a windy day on Madeira.
If you let us know about any changes to your arrival time, we can coordinate accordingly and make sure we know when to expect you.
Where exactly is Casa del Mar located?
Casa del Mar is located in Ponta do Sol, on Madeira’s sunny south coast.
The house sits in a peaceful setting with beautiful views towards the Atlantic and the surrounding landscape.
Tipp: Do not underestimate the hilly ways in Madeira. A “quick walk to town” takes you maybe longer than expected. A rental car can be very helpful.
How many guests can stay at Casa del Mar?
Casa del Mar can accommodate up to 8 guests. There are three bedrooms, each with a double bed and its own private bathroom, plus two sofa beds – one in the games room and another in the living area on the first floor.
With the pool, cinema, games room, fitness room and plenty of space to spend time together, Casa del Mar is a wonderful place for families and friends travelling together. Whether you’re having a movie night, challenging each other to a game of pool or simply relaxing by the pool, there is plenty to keep everyone entertained – while still giving everyone their own space when they need it.
